Very pretty cathedral grain. A flat-sawn piece, with some light flecks (remnants of the Kauri-Gum amber).

We had selected this piece as a sample and varnished one side. This finish will not likely be your final finish, and it can be removed, or left as on to keep this thin piece stabilized when finished on both sides.

It is sanded on both sides, with the other side unfinished.
