The chatoyance in the grain of this table-top is fantastic. It sweeps across this table top like the patterns the wind will make on the surface of the sea on a blustery day. The grain brings the same impression, bringing the eye with it every time. The light moves as and shimmers as you walking past this beautiful table-top.

Naturally formed checking in the surface of this piece is stabilized with a mixture of Ancient Kauri bark and epoxy, making these areas of the top fully stabilized and structurally sound.

The natural edges are wonderful. Smooth and inviting to the touch, with no rough edges to catch clothing. The end grain is polished to allow a glimpse of the growth rings of this timber that grew so many millennia ago.

Finished to a satin finish with durable natural European Oil.
