A very cool Ancient Kauri block. Very dry, has been in our shop for years. One of the early pieces we brought into the country that has sat in the corner without being recognized for the killer it is!

Check out what is going on in this piece- the unique Whitebait figure running in a sweep, the beautiful curl, the knot and the curls surrounding the know- all very cool.

The crack in this looks like it wants to chip off the corner of this block, but it is quite sound and well attached. I have uploaded a bunch of photos trying to show very clearly what state this block is in. There are shots of the end-grain which will help illustrate this, too.
